The Cookie Cutter: Land of the Free

My husband and I were invited to our first ever American Citizenship party a few months back.  We were told to wear our Red, White and Blue and that's exactly what we did.  I also volunteered to bring a dessert and made (you guessed it!) Royal Icing Sugar Cookies.  The funny part about this is that I already had a cookie cutter in the shape of the continental United States!  I originally purchased it for the 4th of July but got a chance to use it twice thanks to the Citizenship party.  Yay!


The design was actually quite simple:  all I wanted to do was ice the cookies like the American flag. The stars were bonus cookies that I could experiment with as time permitted.  I can't wait to make them again.  Flag day, anyone?
